Portraits
Since 1995 I have been a successful Portrait Artist, on a part-time basis. Here are just a few of the many animal portrait commissions I have done. Only 'Rocky', 'Rosie', Honey, 'Beth', 'Barney', and 'Jamie' are digital photographs taken from the originals. The rest are photos of printed photos, hence the quality of the photo & the odd 'flash' mark!! I have many more, but either the photos didn't come out, or I did not take any photos of the originals (regret that now, obviously!).
I mainly use pastels for animals, as I can create a soft finish to imitate fur. They are so life-like you feel that you can actually stroke the animal! This has helped alot of my clients deal with the sad departure of their pet, as they feel they still have them with them. Pastel portraits are mounted & framed, for a more traditional finish, & are more costly to produce than an oil painting.
I also paint portraits in oils, on block canvas - average price is £250 for a 50cm x 60cm size. These can be styled to be traditional or contemporary according to your preferences, and there is a wider choice of sizes. I also paint or draw human portraits - child/baby portraits start from £50 + framing.
The style of my portraits is very detailed & accurate, & I dedicate alot of time & emotion into their creation, to ensure optimum customer satisfaction. I have never had an unhappy customer!!!
